Links: useful web addresses for your group
Publish links your group relies on, and tell the administrators when one stops working.
What it is. The Links page is a shared list of web addresses your group finds useful: weather and NOTAM sites, airfield pages, club or association sites, forms and anything else members keep asking for. Each link has a title, the web address and a short description saying what it is and when to use it.
Turning it on. A group administrator switches it on under Settings > Modules (it shows there once it has been made available to your group). A Links item then appears in the menu, below Documents.
Using the links. Open Links from the menu and select a title. The link opens in a new tab, so you do not lose your place in Breez.Aero.
Adding and changing links. Group administrators can add links, and so can anyone given the permission. Select Add link, type a title, paste the web address (if you leave off the https:// it is added for you) and, if you like, a description. Use the pencil to change a link and the bin to delete one. To let another role manage links, go to Settings > Group Details and tick Links for that role: Add and edit links lets them add, change and clear reports, and Delete links lets them remove links.
When a link stops working. Anyone in the group can select Report broken link beside it and, if they wish, add a few words such as "page not found". You can report a link once; it then shows You reported this.
The administrators receive a notice in their Inbox (and the bell), and under the link on the Links page they see who reported it, when, and what they wrote. When the link has been put right, an administrator selects Mark as fixed. Changing the web address of the link clears the reports too.
Tip. Keep descriptions short and say what the link is for, for example "Forecasts and TAFs for the area. Check before every flight."
